In my opinion, I think it's very difficult to feel pretty in the winter time. I, for one, am not a fan of chapped, see-through skin, even if my cheeks seem to blush a bit more in the negative temperatures. However, short of piling on the face makeup or Mystic-tanning twice a week, us mere mortals here on the East Coast have little say in the level of tan we achieve this time of year. We can, however, choose to display our tans in other ways. Conveniently for us, the latest award shoes have been celebrity-proof that popular this season (at least in designer fashion) are blush, cream and nude tones. For the sake of this post, though, we'll equivocate all three shades with tan. Ayo, West Coast! Maria Menounos, Carrie Underwood, Sandra Bullock, Anne Hathaway, Leighton Meester and Scarlet Johansson all sparkled at the 2011 Golden Globes in flesh-tone gowns { you can read more about the award show here } and there's no reason we can't emulate the trend in our every day dress.

nude lip shades are quite flattering, especially in the rigid cold.
Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte in [25] Soft Beige, $34, nab it here!
I adore those leg warmers. Is it really feasible to pull something like that off though?
ReplyDeleteYes! Okay, maybe not on a day like today (or any other day this past two weeks), but a pair of skinny jeans underneath some big, comfy leg warmers negates the fact that you are wearing heels. It keeps you just as cozy so long as your heels are NOT open-toed, like the picture shows.
ReplyDeleteOnly here to comment that I liked the title font you previously had instead of this script.
