In this weather, there are quite a few things I rely on to get me through. I believe that it is equally important to be well, healthy and comfortable as it is to be fashionable and stylish {imagine that?}. Sometimes though, we get lucky and are able to keep cozy in the most stylish of fashions. On days like today, when my car is piled under feet of snow and there is no escape route, there is almost nothing I'd rather be doing than vegging out in the family room, looking very much like THE blonde abominable snowman.
Of all the chap stick and vaseline-based lip balms I've ever owned, none come close to the ever-so-ritzy Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Swivel Stick [1]. I've totally been called out on more than a few occasions for owning a kiddie glue stick, and furthermore, always rubbing it on my lips, but this fat boy is worth it for its sugary butter taste that soothes in one thick freakin' layer. My lips are badly chapped this winter, so I stocked up on a few swivel sticks, which I keep in my medicine cabinet, purse and car. Diane von Furstenberg's cozy Carlisle hat [2] keeps the heat alongside the help of a classic mug of Godiva's Cocoa [3]. My best buds on the couch are my Restoration Hardware Plush Duvet Slippers [4] that I swear feel like you're walking in butter (yes, butter!), and Brookstone's Nap Luxe Blanket [5]. While both the slippers and nap blankets are sold in a variety of deep, delicious, wintry colors, I own both in cream.
{ Note: the duvet slippers appear to be sold out online. i own DVF's cozy hat in oatmeal, and you can pick up your own Palmer's Cocoa Butter at your local drug store or Bed, Bath & Beyond }
I have the nap blanket in the dark chocolate brown and it is soooooo warm
ReplyDeletewhy did you pick godiva? why is it better?
ReplyDeleteI love that hat, but I don't think I can afford that price tag. $108?! Can you recommend anything a little cheaper offhand? It's really cute.
ReplyDeleteDon't know offhand anything quite similar to the DVF hat. If I stumble upon something, I'll post back.
