Sweetster.

Okay, so my family never celebrated Easter, and when I was a kid, all I wanted to do was paint eggs like the rest of my girlfriends, and hunt for mounds of nougat-filled chocolate and jelly beans. Of course, my parents kept these sweets stocked in the house this month, but we never got to participate in any of the fun games that I knew full well other children were. My mom reminded me that we were Jewish, and every April, I'd wished we weren't.

The beauty of getting older and making our own money, is that we can fulfill any and all of our childhood fantasies now (within reason, I suppose, although I am never reasonable). That being said, with the arrival of my siblings home for the weekend, I've a full-blown treasure hunt prepared, inclusive of every kind of Easter candy that twenty-five dollars afforded me (that, my friends, is a lot of candy). I absolutely cannot wait for my eighteen year old brother, my twenty-one year old cousin and me to indulge in a late afternoon of exhausting competition and good chocolate.

  9. You called your brother and your cousin your siblings...does your cousin live with you? Just curious.

It's also weird for me to imagine people not celebrating Easter. So no Easter Bunny for you? :(

  10. My cousin does not live with me, although she might as well be my sister. We're very close. Also, no Easter Bunny for me.
