Fond-ue La La!

A lover of all things romantic, I whipped up a seductive bowl of Chocolate Fondue-for-two last night: a treat I always crave, but rarely indulge in. And the thing is, it's so simple to make, you'd wonder why couples don't treat each other more often to a crock pot of oozing chocolate and assortment of tantalizing cakes and sliced fruit.

{Side Note: I'm lactose intolerant, so I have to limit my milk-product intake, but my college roommate and I used to make the most luscious bowls of cheese fondue, and we skimped not on the serving size of wine. Although ours were friendly dinners, cheese fondue also makes for quite the romantic, and may I add impressive, meal}

Fondue is perhaps one of the easiest dishes to make, and if you're a college kid with a twenty-dollar crockpot from Bed, Bath & Beyond, it's even easier. Milk, dark and white chocolate baking chips can easily be melted in your slow-cooker while you're busy preparing... other things, like lighting incense, filling your champagne flutes, and applying your lasting layer of lipstick. Date night, ladies? Cut your guy a break this weekend on the movie ticket, and feed him some of your homemade fondue.
