Have Everything, Too.

My skin crawls a little bit every time I hear a girl repeat "I wish I was Barbie, that bitch has everything." That bitch, if she we were real, would be unable to walk, or even breathe for that matter. Her body proportions are so out of whack that her boobs would literally be the heaviest parts of her body, her waist would be practically pinchable, and her legs would crumble due to her overwhelming top heaviness. Sure, Barbie is beautiful by societal standards, but I think we've all come to realize that blonde hair and blue eyes are not the only requirements for perfection (and yes, before I get a million: but you have blonde hair and blue eyes-comments, I'm just going to fess up -- wooo, I do!) Since I was a little girl, I'd strived to be like Barbie, in every way I possibly could. It's important that little girls have role models, but it's also important that they know to set their own realistic goals, dreams and accomplishments, even if those veer a bit from the kind of Barbie Doll we have set in our minds.

In the spirit of Barbie beauty though, because I am a bit obsessed, enjoy.
