In the spirit of spring, I've concocted the most fabulous party idea ever. Now, for a venue, and I'm all about putting on my first Carnival-themed soiree. One of my all-time favorite warm weather activities is carnival-hopping (and I say hopping because there are actually so many fairs and festivals around that it becomes absolutely necessary to pick at each one). Between Westport's annual Italian Festival, Weston's Memorial Day Fair, and the Danbury Mall Fair, I usually find myself at all three: taste-testing the funnel cake in Westport, riding the Tilt-a-Whirl in Weston, and winning oversized stuffed animals in Danbury. Taking these fun, spring vibes from the fairs to your own backyard is equally as entertaining (perhaps even more so because you can spring for a liquor cart) and can be more intimately enjoyed.

Mini hot dogs, cheese fries, pretzels, apples and caramel for the dipping
are typical (not to mention, delicious) carnival-festive food.
Renting a cotton candy maker? Not necessary. If you're of age, opt for some delicious Pinnacle Cotton Candy flavored vodka and Mike's Hard Lemonade. Water balloons, balloons filled with beans, and a plain old basement dartboard are just a few items that can entertain for serious lengths of time.
Pssssst!
