Now Playing: Blink 182 "Roller Coaster"

They say that life's all about the big picture, but I believe it's the little things that make or break it. This weekend served as my own personal carnival, complete with sweets (shout out to the Papaya Thai crew and several rounds of Nutty Monkeys), clowns and the rockiest of roller coasters. One thing I absolutely love about roller coasters? How fast they go. If it's too dark and scary at the bottom, it's okay, because you're guaranteed to be immediately swooped back up into the light. But what I just can't stand? The fact that roller coasters are always so inconsistent: never smooth but always rocky, with the occasional hinge squeak that has you jumping out of your seat. BUT THEY'RE ALWAYS SO DAMN IRRESISTIBLE, and always the first and last ride you want to take. Go figure. To make up for my less than perfect favorite holiday, I indulged in a few extra curricular activities that automatically brighten my smile.

{ so these are totally gourmet, but I made my own sloppy-Joe style CCPs. Nutella + sprinkles over pretzel rods }

{ Speciallita is an uber-cheap polish brand that is sold at Sephora, and comes in a variety of colors. They are glow in the dark, because I'm five years old }

{ Psych! Was I the only freak that avoided the Grammys and the live twitter updates courtesy of all my twitter friends? I opted for a night of Keeping up with Kim and Kourtney and Fashion Police + stuffing my new glitzed-out gunmetal Deux Lux wallet (no picture on the website, unfortunately) with my overload of cards and underload of cash }
