Braving the Cold.

Now that my car has been completely plowed out of the ninety-bajillion inches of snow that filled my driveway, I can thankfully stop force-feeding myself frozen White Castle burgers and hot pockets and change out of my loungewear into human clothes. Part of the fun in stepping out in the snow is pairing warm classics with errr, untraditional articles of clothing.

(does anyone remember my infamous December 2009 butterfly getup?)

Uggs and Moon Boots are sure winter staple foot-warmers that I like wearing with mini shorts, summer tops, and heavy duty jackets. Many conservative dressers roll their eyes at my outfit choices, but I maintain that such clashing fashion pieces not only make statements, they turn heads. Too chilly for you? A pair of knit tights or printed stockings can be your best friend these next couple of months.

Some choice winter pieces:

I own a few {crop-top jackets}, that up until recently, I never wore much.
I like this one for its dramatic texture and heather gray color.
Clearly, not the ideal jacket to brave a blizzard, but certainly
warm enough to strut around town while running your errands.

Generally, any {breezy, light fabric top} will do, but I like this one in particular.
Not so much for its summer feel, but more for its festive feel
and sexy deep-back cut-out.

I was never a huge fan of the {leather jacket}, up until recently
when I found the perfect vintage fit. It's now a winter
staple, and honestly? I just feel so bad-ass when I whip it out.

Style Tip: I generally never leave my house in my leather jacket
without a pair of aviators in tow.

The {UGGliest boot} in America, but for sure the warmest.
I keep a couple pairs in my closet because of all the use I get out
of them year-round.
